Did You Catch All That? – January 2012

Daniels, Vampire, Walt Simonson
Welcome to the first Did You Catch All That? of 2012! Susan thought she was rid of the boys in the new year, but she was sorely mistaken. Not only are Simon and Sheldon back, but she was joined by Matt Todd of “The Impact” and a very special guest (watch the video to see who it is). The best of the segments is back, including Susan dashing back and forth to bring you her favorite “Girl on Girls”. Simon’s tattoo may or may not make an appearance in Elephantmen 0, but he does talk about it in “On Shelves Now”. Sheldon is upset when he can’t talk about his issues and decides to play on his phone. I think I may have mentioned that we have a special guest! Ok, ok… I’ll give you a hint. He was recently on our POW! Pick of the Week Podcast, so he’s been hanging around quite a bit lately (and I know I hope he sticks around for a while). Take your guesses, but in the meantime, take a gander at the January 2012 episode of Did You Catch All That?.

Welcome to Part 2 of Sequential Sunday’s look at the highly varied and completely mind-blowing work of 3-D processing master Ray Zone! In part 1 we saw numerous examples of depth-defying art from early issues of Zone’s self-published title The 3-D Zone. Though this series constitutes a sizable chunk of his 1980’s output, Zone applied his skills to the comics of numerous other publishers from the decade of the independent publishing boom as well, including Eclipse Comics.
