If you survived Groundhog’s Day, Valentine’s Day, Presidents’ Day, Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras, Ash Wednesday & even an extra Leap Day, then the rest of the year should be a cake walk! If you fell into some kind of time lapse and missed all the good stuff that came out in comic news this month then let Simon, Sheldon & Susan walk you through the month of February 2012 with an all new “Did You Catch All That”. First and foremost if you want to find out the winner of our “Cosplay Girl of The Year 2012”, then watch this episode all the way to the end because we spill the beans! Oh, we also talk about comics and Matt Todd of “The Impact” tells us of all the latest news in Film and Television! Still not enough to entice you? Man, you are a tough customer! We also have Sheldon talking about Sam Humphries book Sacrifice, and Simon shows us a really cool Avenger’s Omnibus that came out! Convinced yet? No?! Ok, ok how about Susan talking about David Lapham’s book Ferals! Now we are talking, right? We also talk about The new Before Watchman comic coming out by DC […]

Did You Catch All That? – January 2012

Daniels, Vampire, Walt Simonson
Welcome to the first Did You Catch All That? of 2012! Susan thought she was rid of the boys in the new year, but she was sorely mistaken. Not only are Simon and Sheldon back, but she was joined by Matt Todd of “The Impact” and a very special guest (watch the video to see who it is). The best of the segments is back, including Susan dashing back and forth to bring you her favorite “Girl on Girls”. Simon’s tattoo may or may not make an appearance in Elephantmen 0, but he does talk about it in “On Shelves Now”. Sheldon is upset when he can’t talk about his issues and decides to play on his phone. I think I may have mentioned that we have a special guest! Ok, ok… I’ll give you a hint. He was recently on our POW! Pick of the Week Podcast, so he’s been hanging around quite a bit lately (and I know I hope he sticks around for a while). Take your guesses, but in the meantime, take a gander at the January 2012 episode of Did You Catch All That?.

Horror on the 13th: September 2011 (The Good,The Bad)

by bucky· September 11, 2011· in Horror on the 13th· 0 comments tags: Army of Darkness, Bernie Wrightson, Dynamite, Image Comics, Scott Snyder, Severed, Swamp Thing
I feel like I always start these the same way. I’m becoming set in my ways, and that is never a good thing. Don’t worry. I’m not going to pull what the DC Universe did and change your whole lives. However, I am going to do something a little different here at “Horror on the 13th.” I am going to talk a little bit about the horror industry, which I find to be a fascinating one. I think that it has the biggest gap between the good stuff and the bad stuff. Say what you want about horror, but the good stuff is terrifying and the bad stuff is unwatchable. Trust me, after the boyfriend and I watched about every conceivable movie on Instant Netflix, I think we found one that we were willing to recommend (two if we’re counting the one that he and I laughed at). The same thing goes for horror comics. It’s actually an incredibly difficult thing to list three really excellent horror comics for the month. It makes it harder when I need at least two more for “Did You Catch All That?” at the end of the month. All of that aside, I still […]
